Late payments and unpaid debts put a huge strain on a business’s cash flow so where do you turn when you need to take those crucial steps towards recovering the money you’re owed?

Suffering from bad debt?

When managing multiple working relationships with customers, a healthy cash flow led by stringent credit management keeps your wholesale business thriving. Ideally, you’ll be paid before you need to pay your own suppliers but, unfortunately, this is not always the case with 53% of SMEs being paid late just last year.

Benefits of using a High Court Enforcement Officer

If you’ve been awarded a judgment but payment still hasn’t been forthcoming and enforcement action is necessary, who can best meet your needs?

High Court enforcement is widely regarded as the most cost effective and successful method of recovery, compared to using County Court Bailiffs (CCBs).

Unlike salaried CCBs, High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEOs) are only paid when enforcement is successful and, as a result, normally have a much higher collection rate. HCEOs enforce outside working hours and at weekends, unlike CCBs.

For just the cost of a writ, which can be seen here, HCEOs can enforce judgments above £600, with no upper limit, and will look to recover your judgment debt, court fees, judgment interest and enforcement costs from the debtor.

"I did find that the County Court bailiffs resources and time were limited, and more often than not, they gave up at the first hurdle. I then came across The Sheriff’s Office who don’t operate to time restrictions, and their recovery rate is very successful. I now bypass the County Court bailiffs altogether when it comes to issuing Warrant of Executions and go straight to The Sheriff’s Office. Their methods and actions ensure that they react much quicker and more effectively than County Court processes.
"Communication is excellent, and they keep you informed every step of the way, and more importantly for all independent businesses in this current market, the recovery rate is high."
