About us
In the late 1970’s we started life as The Sheriffs Office in Northampton, dealing only with High Court writs within the boundaries of Northamptonshire.
In 2004, the Courts Act made much anticipated changes to a rather antiquated system. Sheriffs Officers were now known as Authorised High Court Enforcement Officers. The geographical boundaries were dropped allowing each officer to conduct enforcement throughout the entirety of England and Wales, giving the public a choice.
After this change, now trading as Sheriffs High Court Enforcement, we used our network of experienced Certificated Enforcement Agents executing High Court writs throughout England & Wales.
In late 2007, due to the rapidly increasing workload, we incorporated, forming Sheriffs High Court Enforcement Ltd trading as The Sheriffs Office. In 2013 we changed our registered name to SHCE Ltd, still trading as The Sheriffs Office (our company registered number remains the same).
Since then, through our continued development, training and attention to detail we have grown to be one of the most successful enforcement firms in the country.
