Court fees to rise again
By David Asker on
The Ministry of Justice has announced plans to increase court fees with effect from Monday 13th July 2026.
The majority of the increases are 2.6%.
The increases are subject to Parliamentary approval, although we anticipate that this will be a formality.
The fees relating to enforcement that will increase are:
- Writ of control, possession and delivery – will increase from £80 to £82
- Warrant of control – will increase from £94 to £96
- Warrant of possession or delivery – will increase from £148 to £152
The N244 application on notice will increase from £313 to £321. The N244 without notice goes from £123 to £126.
The plan for routine court fee increases taking place every two years was set out in the MoJ consultation response published 1st April 2024.
However, the most recent court fee increase before this July increase was just 15 months ago in April 2025.
You can read the full details on the GOV.UK website press release.
