On 9th January 2014 the regulations Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014 were laid before Parliament.
This is the second set of Regulations underpinning the Government's package of reforms to bailiff law. Read The Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014 in full here.
The first set, The Taking Control of Goods Regulations 2013, set out the procedure enforcement agents must follow when taking control of goods and were laid in Parliament last July.
The third and final set of Regulations have not yet been published, although they are expected shortly. These will focus on the requirements an individual must meet before they are granted a certificate to work as an enforcement agent.
The Ministry of Justice has also re-confirmed that all three sets of Regulations will be implemented on 6th April 2014.
