“Super Bailiffs” - The Sheriffs Office on BBC’s Inside Out

by David Carter on 03 November 2011

The editor of the BBC’s Inside Out South West programme approached The Sheriffs Office this summer to film our officers enforcing local cases. The camera crew filmed our team enforcing writs of behalf of local small business owners who were suffering badly as a result of unpaid debts.

The programme follows the team to a builder who paid in full, a used car dealership who claimed that the senior managers would have repaid the customer if they had known about the situation, and finally, a former business partner claiming that he is on the verge of bankruptcy, as well as sending us a notice of removal of implied right of access.
