Registry Trust cuts the cost of checking CCJs

by David Carter on 19 October 2011

The Registry Trust has halved the cost of checking CCJs (county count judgments). From September 28 the price of a search of a single register fell from £8 to £4. The price of checking two registers has gone down to £8 and the charge for checking all the registers fell from £30 to £10.

The registers are open to the public and maintained by the Trust. There are many reasons for searching the register but often it is in order to check on a potential tradesman or business partner. The judgment record is a strong and simple indicator of financial status and trustworthiness.

“We have recently had reason to use your services after being recommended to do so by our solicitors. After a successful conclusion to our case we felt we had to write to tell you how impressed we were with the service we received. From our daughter’s first telephone call to find out which forms were required when she spoke to a very helpful gentleman named James, through to promptly received e-mails, your staff have been courteous and professional and we have no hesitation in recommending your services. Thank you once again for your help.”
